Mathematics is my first love. Rowing was my second. I grew up balancing both only to understand at some point that they actually complement each other very well. I believe that every student needs balance in their childhood. Sometimes that can be introduction to the beautiful world of science, and sometimes that should be finding the right counterpart to ease off the pressure, and build other perspectives in life.
As a youngster I was a competitor, I did not enter Mathematics out of pure love, but out of sake for competing with others. This story is something that I saw inspiring many of my students in the past. I do not only teach students Mathematics, I also believe it is important to talk about their desires, their perspectives on the future, sometimes you find a hidden gem for sciences, sometimes you learn that the balance was something that was missing, and sometimes you get surprised that it was just the first love for a girl or a boy moment.

This is something that I always strived to accomplish first - everyone can understand the mathematics, and everyone can be good at mathematics, the only difference is whether one is given the right tools to build the understanding of the Language of Mathematics or not.
