O nastavniku koji se zove Maja

Hi! I’m Maja, a Cambridge International primary teacher with over 10 years of experience in international and bilingual schools in China and Tanzania.

I hold a Master’s degree in Education, a PGCE International, and TEFL and TEYL certifications. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children from different cultural and educational backgrounds, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and independence they need to thrive.

I currently teach at a Cambridge International School and offer lessons in English, Maths, and Art & Design for children from Cambridge Early Years to Key Stage 1. My experience with the Cambridge curriculum helps me understand not only what children need to learn but also how to build their understanding as they progress.

I believe great teaching goes beyond explaining concepts. It means knowing when to guide, when to challenge, and when to let children figure things out for themselves. I combine clear explanations, thoughtful questioning, and practical activities to help children make connections, think independently, and develop a genuine enjoyment of learning.

Having lived and worked in different countries, I bring an international perspective to my teaching and value the curiosity and individuality every child brings to the classroom. I look forward to helping your child build skills, confidence, and a strong foundation for future learning.

English: Learning to read, write, and communicate should feel like an adventure, not a chore! I use stories, games, phonics activities, and real-life connections to make language meaningful and memorable. Every lesson is tailored to your child’s level, helping them build skills step by step as they grow into a confident, enthusiastic communicator. I also focus on creative writing and guided reading for older students.
Maths: Maths makes much more sense when children can see, explore, and experience it! Through puzzles, visual learning, practical challenges, and playful problem-solving, I help children understand the *why* behind the numbers rather than simply memorising answers. My aim is to make maths feel accessible, rewarding, and even exciting.
Art & Design: Art is about more than creating something beautiful; it’s about thinking creatively, experimenting, and discovering new possibilities. I encourage children to explore colours, shapes, patterns, and different techniques while developing their own ideas and artistic style. There are no perfect answers here — just opportunities to experiment, express themselves, and build confidence in their creativity.
