O nastavniku koji se zove Sofia
Hi, future geniuses of the Russian language! I’m Sonya, a native Russian speaker and a graduate in Russian Language and Literature. I teach my classes in English because my Serbian isn't good enough yet and I'm working on it!
I’ve always been fascinated by languages — especially by those little things you start noticing once you look closer: where a word comes from, why we use one expression instead of another, or why a grammar rule actually makes sense.
Russian is my native language, but I also speak English and Italian. So I absolutely understand the excitement when something finally clicks, and the moment when you look at a grammar rule and think, “Wait… what is going on here?” :)
Outside of languages, I love literature, travelling and discovering new cultures. I really enjoy talking to people from different backgrounds and hearing about their lives and interests.
For me, learning a language is not just about getting the grammar right. It’s about gradually making it feel like your language — something you can actually use, enjoy and feel comfortable with.
I’d be happy to help you discover Russian along the way!

I believe that learning a language is much easier when you understand how it works — not just memorize rules and words.
I adapt each lesson to the student. If something is difficult, we slow down, break it into smaller pieces and look at plenty of examples. I don’t mind explaining the same thing in a different way — sometimes you just need to hear it from another angle.
Our lessons include conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and exploring Russian culture. We’ll focus on what you actually need and what you’re interested in, rather than trying to fit every lesson into the same formula.
I want my lessons to be a comfortable place where you can ask questions, make mistakes and gradually become more confident in Russian ^,^
Добро пожаловать!

Sofia is a genuine expert. Before, I used to believe that languages were a challenge for me, but thanks to Sofia, I was able to figure everything out, and now I want to study linguistics. I highly recommend this tutor because her lessons are enjoyable and effective!
Sonya is a great teacher! I needed to learn Russian to move to another country for work, so I turned to her. I never felt any pressure from her, and that’s very important to me. In the end, the move went off successfully!
I’ve got some friends from Russia and I wanted to learn some basic Russian to understand them. After searching for a tutor, I found Sofia, who helped me with it! The lessons are both effective and varied. I highly recommend her as a professional.
